Afternoon tea first became popular in the early 1840s, introduced by Anna, the 7th Duchess of Bedford, who found herself feeling peckish between lunch and dinner. What began as a quiet afternoon snack soon became a much-loved social occasion, complete with dainty sandwiches, scones, and sweet pastries — all served with a pot of fine tea.

We continue this elegant tradition in our charming English tearoom, where afternoon tea is served on beautiful vintage china in a warm, welcoming setting. Each tea includes a carefully prepared selection of fresh finger sandwiches, homemade scones with clotted cream and jam, and an assortment of handmade cakes and sweet treats, all accompanied by freshly brewed tea or coffee.
